Michael Saunders is the husband of Rebecca and father of three – Hudson, Austyn, and McKenna. Michael has served in various roles in ministry since 2003 but has spent most of his time with students as a youth pastor. After 13 years of youth ministry, God called Michael to Lexington Baptist Church in 2016 to take the Lead Pastor position.

Michael’s passion is preaching the Word of God. His hobbies include date nights with his bride, playing board games and sports with his boys, and almost anything baby girl wants him to do! Michael also has a high interest in sports, guitar, ukulele, and technology.

Ethan and Becky are the proud parents of Kinsley, Brynn, Ezekiel, & Avenley. Ethan has served in youth ministry roles since 2012. In 2020, God called Ethan to Lexington Baptist Church to serve in the Pastor of Family Ministries position.

Ethan’s passion is seeing kids and teens make faith their own apart from their parents’ faith! Ethan enjoys adventure activities, playing sports, hunting, hiking, and just about anything outdoors.

James is our pastor of evangelism and engagement. Prior to LBC, James spent 28 years serving God around the world as an officer in the United States Navy. Highly involved in disciple making in the local church, he has worked with Bible studies, small groups, youth groups and children’s church. James is married to Kahlia and they have 2 daughters, Arianna and Maiah. 

James’ passion is helping people know Jesus better and helping them to make Jesus known to those they encounter.

Rachel has been with LBC since 2010. She oversees the church office and performs a variety of tasks to help support the various ministries of the church. She is grateful that she can use her job to help and serve others in Jesus' name. She and her husband, Chuck, have been married since 1994, and have two adult children, Benjamin and Lydia and are a family of Hokies!
